Algonquin College renews partnership for AC-Kuwait

July 7, 2020
Algonquin College has renewed and broadened its partnership with Orient Education Services (OES), which has, since 2015, delivered Algonquin College diploma programs in the State of Kuwait under the name Algonquin College – Kuwait (AC-Kuwait). With this renewal, Algonquin College will help OES establish the institutional framework required to operate a 2+2 polytechnic institution. The agreement will also allow OES to continue delivering six Algonquin College diploma programs in Business, Advanced Technology and Media Design under its new branch campus name The Canadian College of Kuwait - Algonquin.

The agreement is valid until August 31, 2025.

“Algonquin College is extremely proud of our global partnerships and international education opportunities – and AC-Kuwait is a key part of that ongoing success story,” said Claude Brulé, Algonquin’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “The renewal of this important relationship supports the College’s aim to enhance its global impact, and its mission to transform hopes and dreams into lifelong success – not only for learners here in Canada but also around the world.”

“Canada’s post-secondary education system is recognized as one of the strongest in the world and we are extremely proud to represent Canada and Algonquin College here in Kuwait,” said David McHardy, President of AC-Kuwait and OES’s representative. “This innovative new agreement will be the cornerstone of our future success and we are extremely grateful to Algonquin’s International Education Centre for collaborating on its development and to President Brulé for supporting and endorsing it.”
