Change passwords in My Sign-Ins

My Sign-Ins has introduced a user-friendly update for password management. Users now have two ways to update their password, catering to different security protocols.

How to Change Your Password
  1. Navigate to My Sign-Ins: Go to the My Sign-Ins page.
  2. Access Security Info: Sign in and proceed to the Security info section.
  1. Change Password:
  • For students (standard authentication): Students and users typically not using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will update their password by entering their current password.
  • For staff (MFA authentication): Users who authenticate via Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and meet Conditional Access policies can change their password without entering the current one.
  1. Password Update Confirmation: After changing the password, the new password details will be updated on the Security info page.



Note:
  • Temporary Access Pass (TAP) methods are not supported for changing passwords unless the existing password is known.
  • The ability to change passwords without entering the existing one is contingent on meeting specific security criteria, including MFA and Conditional Access policy compliance.
